Simone Biles

Simone Biles is an American gymnast. Born March 14, 1997 in Columbus Ohio U.S.A. She was the first American female gymnast in history to have won four gold medals in the same Games. In Rio de Janeiro, she was also the first female to have won consecutive World All-Around titles. Biles grew up within Spring Texas in the Houston metro area, where her and her sister Adria had been adopted by grandparents Ronald Biles and Nellie Biles. Simone's love for gymnastics first began when she was just six years old when she took a trip with her day-care group to Bannon Gymnastix. Simone remained in the hands of Aimee Borman's guidance until 2011. Biles had a great time in the vault and floor exercise at the 2010 Women's Junior Olympic National Championships before getting to the elite competition level in 2011. She dominated her sport just two years later. Biles was distinguished by her consistently high performance and exuberant personality as well as the difficult routines she performed across all four events including vaulting, uneven bars, and the balance beam.
