In 2015 at 19 she released her debut single, Here. It was an instant hit with both critics as well as admirers praised it. It reached number 19 on both the Canadian Hot 100 and Billboard Hot 100. Even Rolling Stone listed the song as one of most popular Songs of 2015. Her debut Know It All album in the year that followed. The third track, Scars to Your Beautiful was the first of five songs that reached the top spots on Billboard including Canadian Albums Chart Billboard 200 and Billboard Hot 100. Cara has earned a name for incorporating messages about the importance of mental health, kindness and self-love into her music. All of it is a result of her personal journey as she has suffered from mental health problems and insomnia.
