The track reached the top 19 of both the Billboard Hot 100 in Canada and on the Canadian Hot 100. Even Rolling Stone called the single one of its Best Songs in 2015. Her debut Know It All album in the same year. The third single, Scars to Your Beautiful was among five tracks which reached the top spots on Billboard including Canadian Albums Chart Billboard 200 as well as Billboard Hot 100. The track was distinctive since a lot of people reacted to the interview she did with rapper Rap-Up on her journey to learn to love and accept herself. Cara's songs often include positive messages regarding mental health, and the importance of being self-love. Her music is an expression of her personal struggle with mental illness and insomnia. According to a Reuters interview, her album was described as semi-tumultuous and half-perfected. The therapy she received helped her grow and urges others to do the same. Alessia Cara was born to Italian parents on the 11th of July 1996. Her parents gave her a guitar when she was 10 years old, which led to her passion for music. In 2013, she covered her favorite songs for YouTube, a popular social media site. It was done to show that she had both the talent and confidence to become an artist. One of her covers, Sweater Weather, was the first thing that made her stand out. EP Entertainment gave her the chance to write and record her own tracks.
