She says she grew through therapy and she encourages other people to get help when they need it. Alessia Cara was born to Italian parents on July 11th, 1996. Her parents gave her an instrument when she was 10 years old, which led to her passion for music. In the year 2003, she turned 13, she began singing her most loved songs via YouTube. It was a great opportunity to show others the fact that she had talent and courage.
