Alessia Cara

At the age of 19, she published her first debut single, Here. The single was a smash and garnered praise from both listeners and critics alike. The Canadian Hot 100, and Billboard Hot 100, ranked it at 19. Even Rolling Stone named it as one of the top songs of 2015. The same year she launched the album she titled Know It All, the single Scars to Your Beautiful ranked at the Billboard Hot 100 as well as the Canadian Albums Chart Billboard 200. It also was one of the five original songs. The track in question was unique because it was based on an interview with the Rap-Up show, many fans shared their experiences of self-doubt, and her journey to learn how to accept herself. Cara's music often contains positive messages regarding mental health and the importance of being self-love. Her inspiration for her music stems from her personal struggles in overcoming mental health issues and insomnia. Reuters reported that she called the album "half chaotic, but half done". She claims she has grown through therapy and she encourages other people to get help when they need it. Alessia Cara grew up in Toronto in Canada. She was born on July 11, 1996 to parents with Italian origins. In 2010, her parents gave her a brand-new guitar that she was able to use to develop her passion for the music. In the year 2003, she turned 13, she began singing her most loved songs through YouTube. It proved to be a fantastic opportunity to show others the fact that she had the talent and the courage. A cover of one of her songs, Sweater Weather, was the first thing that made her stand out. EP Entertainment gave her an opportunity to develop and record her own tracks.
