At 19 years old, she released Here, her first single. It quickly became a hit that both critics and fans praised the song. In the Canadian Hot 100, and Billboard Hot 100, ranked it at 19. Even Rolling Stone ranked the song among the 2015's most memorable Songs. The same year, she debuted her album Know It All with the third track Scars to Your Beautiful being the first of five tracks that peaked at Billboard charts. This includes those of the Canadian Albums Chart Billboard 200 and Billboard Hot 100. In her Rap-Up interview, many listeners spoke about Cara's journey to self-love and her fears. Cara's tracks often contain positive messages regarding mental health, and the importance of loving oneself. The inspiration for her music is drawn from her own personal experience as she struggled with mental health issues as well as insomnia. When she spoke to Reuters she said that her album was "half turbulent" and "half perfect". Her growth was aided by a therapy. She encourages others, if needed, to seek support.
