She released her debut single, Here, in 2015 when she was 19. The single was a success and was praised by the public and from critics. It reached 19th place on both the Billboard Hot 100 and the Canadian Hot 100. Even Rolling Stone listed the smash as one the top Songs of 2015. In the same year, she released her first album Know It All, the track Scars to Your Beautiful ranked at the Billboard Hot 100 as well as the Canadian Albums Chart Billboard 200. It also was among the first five songs. According to an interview Cara gave together with Rap Up, the song held a lot of meaning for many of the listeners who related to her personal story of finding acceptance and appreciation for your self. Cara has earned a name for her messages on mental health, kindness and self-love in her music. She's been in the midst of anxiety and insomnia that has influenced her music. Interview with Reuters, she declared her album to be "half tumultuous" and "half perfect". She describes her growth by therapy and is adamant about encouraging other people to get help when they need it. Alessia Cara is a Canadian artist who was born July 11, 1996, to parents who are of Italian descent. At the age of 10 old, her parents gifted her a guitar that became the starting point of her love for music. After three years, at 13 she started singing her most loved songs through YouTube. It was an excellent opportunity to show others the fact that she had the talent and the courage. One of the songs Sweater Weather was able to get her attention by a label known as EP Entertainment which allowed her to write and create the songs.
