Anya Taylor-Joy

Anya Taylor Joy, a half-English and half-Spanish woman, was born on the 16th of April 1996 in Miami Florida. She is the child of Dennis Alan Taylor, a ex-bank executive, and Jennifer Marina Joy, a psychologist is Anya Taylor-Joy. The daughter is an Argentinean of Scottish, English and Argentinean descent. Her mother's ancestral lineage is Spanish and English. Taylor-Joy is one of the five children, four come from her father's previous marriage. The family lived within Buenos Aires up until Taylor-Joy aged 6 and after which they moved to the Victoria district of London. According to Taylor-Joy the move was traumatic and she refused to learn English in the hopes of returning to Argentina. Her school had to change from Northlands to Hill House. In the following years, she attended Queen's Gate School and studied ballet. When she was 16, she quit school in order to take on acting as a profession. Taylor-Joy always knew she wanted to be an actor. Her dream was granted a opportunity by Sarah Doukas founder of Storm Management, who offered her an opportunity as a model.
