Mischa barton was born the 24th of January, 1986 in the city of Hammersmith, England. The O.C. she played Marissa Cooper a socialite. She appeared also on screen in The Sixth Sense, a suspense thriller. The O.C. that she was a part of was a popular TV show. The O.C., a hit TV show in which she starred. The year 2001 saw Barton make her film debut in Lost and Delirious, an independent Canadian production inspired by Susan Swan's novels The Wives of Bath. Barton, Piper Perabo and Jessica Pare's performances were lauded by numerous. Barton also appeared as Julie Johnson in Julie Johnson (2001) alongside Lili Taylor and Courtney Love playing the daughter of a woman in the midst of a relationship between lesbians. Barton also had a supporting character in the teen independent drama Tart (2001) which also featured Brad Renfro and Dominique Swain. Nadia Elena Comaneci..........................At the 1976 Olympics a 14-year-old Romanian captured the hearts and minds of the world with her daring and perfectio earning seven perfect tens three gold medals one silver and one bronze. Her reception in Romania was one of hero. A year later, at the 1988 Olympics Comaneci was awarded two more gold medals and two silver to bring her Olympic total to 9 medals. Comaneci was admitted to the International Gymnastics Hall of Fame as well as ABC News named her one of the most important women of the 20th Century in 1999. In April 1996 Comaneci got married to American Olympic Champion Bart Conner and they share a son Dylan Paul. The couple owns several business ventures related to gymnastics. These include The Bart Conner Gymnastics Academy. Comaneci also has been involved with a wide range of charities, serving as an active member of both the Special Olympics International Muscular Dystrophy Association board of directors as well as the Laureus Sports For Good Foundation. She has also continued to help dozens organizations in Romania, including the Nadia Comaneci Children's Hospital.
